JEE Main 2020: Guide on new Exam Pattern

NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts JEE entrance exam twice a year. JEE exam is for admission to B.E./B.Tech., B.Arch. and B. Planning courses. The exam pattern is changed for 2020. MODE OF EXAMINATION:

There are three types of courses for admission:

1.       B.E./B. Tech.

2.       B. Arch.

3.       B. Planning

For the admission to any of the above courses, there will be a separate exam of CBT (Computer Based Test) type. The drawing part of B. Arch will be Pen & Paper-based. 

AGE LIMIT AND ELIGIBILITY:

For appearing in JEE main exam, there is no age limit. Minimum qualification is passing of 12^th or equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020, irrespective of their age. Candidates with at least 75% marks or in top 20 percentile in 12^th class/ Equivalent are eligible for admission. For SC/CT candidates qualifying marks is 65% in 12^th class.

MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPER:

The medium of question paper will be English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

The medium is specified at the time of filling the Application form and can not be changed later on.

TIPS:

1.       JEE main is one of the most difficult entrance exams in India. Not only the hard-working but a study in a planned manner is necessary for best performance.

2.       There will be 5 questions in each subject whose answer will be in numeric form i.e. 0 to 9. This shows the difficulty level becomes more. However there are no negative marks for the wrong answer of numeric type, so students must attempt these questions.

3.       On another hand, 20 questions will be of MCQ type in each subject. Wrong answer in MCQ type will lead to one negative marking, so students must be very careful while answering these questions.

4.       There may be many students with the same total marks. The merit for these tie cases will be decided giving priority on Math, then physics, then Chemistry as indicated in the above table. So high scoring in math will be of advantage.

UPSC, IAS Examination

Eligibility: 

1. Citizenship:

1.1 For IAS, IFS, and IPS: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

1.2 For IRS: The candidate should be a citizen of India or

A person of Indian origin who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, etc. with the intention of settling in India.

2. Educational Qualification:

2.1 A degree from Central, State, Deemed University, Open University by regular, distance or correspondence or degree recognized by Government of India.

3. Age Limit:

3.1 Minimum age 21 and maximum age the limit is 32 years as on 1^st August of every year of examination. However, for SC/SC upper age limit is 37 years and for OBS it is 35 years.

4. Exam Stages:

There are three stages of selection in civil services exam.

4.1 Preliminary Examination: This is objective type comprising two papers of general studies and aptitude test. The prelim exam is for qualifying for the Main exam. There will be 400 marks examination (200 marks for each paper). This is only a qualifying exam and will not be counted for merit.

4.2 Main Examination:  This is a subjective type and comprises of nine papers of essay type. Only qualified candidates from the Prelim exam can appear in the Main examination. The number of candidates qualifies for the main examination are twelve to thirteen times of vacancies.

 There are nine papers. First two papers are of qualifying type with 300 marks each.

Other seven papers are for merit list, each of 250 marks, totaling 1750 marks. There is negative marking of 0.33% of assigned marks for wrong answer attempted.

5. Personal Interview: Then there will be a personality test of 275 marks. Grand total becomes 2025 marks.

Remember there is a maximum limit of attempting the IAS examination.

HSSC PGT 2019: Vacancy and Exam Guide

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has opened 3864 vacancies for online recruitment for various subjects for teachers of PGT level. Online applications can be done on the official link: http://adv132O19.hryssc.in/StaticPases/Home PaEe.aspx from 20.08.2019 to 05.09.2019.

The applicants are advised to first ensure eligibility criteria before applying. The application should be submitted well in advance as in later days the web site may be overloaded. All necessary instructions should be read Moreover, applicants should be ready with necessary documents as per the requirement of application before loading and applying online. After applying, Registration number and password will be generated. The printout should be taken as these may be required in the future, reprinting of the application form and e-challan form. Remember, an applicant either from General category or reserved category can fill up only one application. Submission of more than one application will reject the candidature.

The requirement of qualification is: 1. Hindi/ Sanskrit as one of the subject at Matriculation or higher.

2.  HTET / STET qualified certificate of the concerned subject. 3. 50% or more on 10/12/Graduation/Post Graduation level. For PGT Computer Science average should be at least 55%.

Age Limit: 18-42 Years

Pay Scale: In the pay matrix level-8 (Rs. 47,600 - 1,51,100).

Application Fees: Rs. Rs. 500/- and Rs. 125/- for Male and Female candidates respectively. However, for Haryana State candidates, it is Rs. 125/- and RS.75/- for Male and Female respectively.

Criteria of Selection:   Written Exam 90% and Socio-Economic criteria and experience at 10%.

Syllabus for Exam:  Written exam’s 90% will be divided into two parts:

1.       Syllabus for 75% part: General awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, Science, English, Hindi, Computer Science, and subject applicable.

2.       Syllabus for 25% part: Current Affairs, History, Literature, Geography, Environment, Civics, Culture, etc. of Haryana.

Examination schedule: - The Examination will be either online (CBT) or OMR Based. Expected date will be in the month of October or November 2019 which will be notified.

CAT Exam

Registration for CAT 2019 are open and the race for admission to IIM has started. We are providing important information on CAT 2019 which may be used fully for the students/ applicants.

The Registrations can be done till 18 September, 2019 for the admission to prestigious 20 IIM for Post Graduation in Business Management.   Other than IIM, some other business schools also accept the CAT score for the admission process to their colleges/ Institutes. 

This year, the CAT entrance Exam will be conducted on 24 November 2019. The exam will be in two sessions.  For registration and exam, the following are some useful information:-

FEE for Registration:   Rs. 1900/- for General category. Rs. 950/- for SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped

Educational Qualifications:   Minimum 50% marks in Graduation Degree or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university. For SC/ST candidates, this minimum percentage is 45.

IIM Selection Process: On the basis of written exam, IIM shortlists students for the first phase of admission. Different IIM has their own way of setting cut-off on scores of various sections of the exam. The complete admission process involves CAT score, Group discussion, and personnel interviews. Students appearing in the final year of graduation should submit a certificate from Principal/ Registrar of their University/Institute at the time of group discussion. The admission is done provisionally. However, the final Degree/ Mark sheet can be submitted before December 31, 2020, failing which the admission will be treated automatically canceled.

CAT Syllabus: The exam is online. The question paper is in three parts. Verbal Ability in the first part, Data interpretation in the second part and quantitative ability in the third part. There is a total of 100 questions. 34 in the first part, 32 in the second part and 34 in the third part. Questions are of multiple choice type. Three marks for correct/ most appropriate answer, negative one mark for wrong answered a question. However, there is no deduction of marks for the not attempted question. The total time allowed is 180 minutes that means 60 minutes for each part.

HSSC Constable Vacancies 2019

HSSC (Haryana Staff Selection Commission) has invited on the line application form for the post of Constable and Sub-Inspector. There are total 6400 vacancies (5000 for Male Constable, 1000 for Female Constable & female) and 400 Sub-Inspector). The last extended date of applying was 15.07.2019.

Eligibility criteria: The applicant must have passed 10+2 and Hindi or Sanskrit should be one of the subjects at matric level or higher. Age limit is 18 to 25 years. However, there is upper age limit relaxation for reserved categories and Ex-serviceman.

Exam: HSSC will conduct Knowledge Test of 80 marks with 100 questions of 90 minutes duration. For each correct answer, there will be 0.80 marks. There is no negative marking. The exam dates will be soon notified and expected to be in August-September, 2019. The syllabus will include Computer Science, Hindi, General Studies, General Science, current affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal husbandry. At least ten questions in computer science will including programming in C/C++.

After qualifying Knowledge Test, candidates are required to clear further process of Physical Screening Test (PST). Further qualified PST candidates will go for Physical Measurement Test (PMT). And finally, PMT qualified candidates will go for the further selection process.

A scheduled and regular preparation will lead the candidates to success. It is highly advisable to applicants to practice on on-line mock papers i.e. e-mock papers.
