What is the criteria for CTET exam 2019

About CTET Exam

CBSE conducts CTET exam which is a National level exam called Central Teaching Eligibility Test. For teaching in Government and Central aided schools, CTET is a mandatory requirement to qualify. Various states also conduct state-level TET (Teaching Eligibility Test) for jobs of their states. However, the state can also accept CTET score if they do not want to conduct at the state level TET exam. There are two papers, CTET Paper 1 and CTET paper 2. Candidates who want to teach at primary stage i.e.  Class I to V should go for Paper 1 and candidates who want to teach at elementary stage i.e.  Class VI to VIII, should go for Paper 2.  If a candidate wants to teach in both category i.e. Primary and Elementary, they should appear in both the papers. On the same day in two shift, CTET exam is conducted for paper 1 and paper 2. Several lac candidates appear for the CTET exam every year.

Minimum Qualification:  Interested candidates must have 50% or more in Senior Secondary exam and passed a four years Bachelor of Elementary Education or passed two years Diploma in Elementary Education. For details refer official web site: https://ctet.nic.in/.
Pattern and Passing criteria for CTET Exam:
CTET exam is a pen and paper based exam. The question paper will be OMR based. There are total 150 questions from five main subjects having 30 questions from each subject. One mark for the correct answer and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. Refer the following table for details.

For passing the CTET Exam, the candidate should score at least 60% marks. The passing certificate is valid for seven years. Remember, CTET exam is not for assuring any teaching job but a must eligibility criteria for applying for teaching job.

CAT (common admission test) exam is a National level premium exam for doing Post Graduation in Business Management. If you are willing to take admission in IIM or other prestigious management Institutes, this may be very helpful to go thru. There are a few important aspects for the preparation of CAT exam:-
  1. Study the CAT Exam syllabus and pattern for 2019
 Understanding the syllabus and CAT paper pattern will take you to start the steps of the preparation. The CAT exam has mainly three subjects, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretations and Quantitative Aptitude.  Accordingly, there will be three sections in the CAT exam

Three marks are for a most appropriate answer, but there is a penalty of 1 mark for the wrong answer. However, some questions do not carry negative marking for the wrong answer.
  1. Decide option of study type
There is two option of study, one is self-study and another is coaching. This must be decided in the beginning which option you are going to opt. Several CAT exam toppers opted for self-study option. 
For self-study, the student must have good CAT exam books like CAT exam book by Arun Sharma, CAT exam book by Nishit Sinha. Moreover, online related matters on a CAT exam is available. In the self study option, a student is more responsible. A well-defined schedule of study should be made and strictly followed.
 In the second option of coaching, part of the schedule depends on coaching institute. They also guide, educate and provide regular tests by providing notes and CAT question paper.
  1. Attempt mock papers
 Practice makes a man perfect. It is advisable to prepare well on syllabus and topics and then practice on mock papers for all three sections. Every time you attempt the CAT mock test, try to learn from mistakes and understand where you were wrong.   1. Understand the subject and topics

  1. Improve upon your CAT scoring

Important points before attempting DU-JAT exam

DU-JAT exam is on the way

Only a week left for DU-JAT 2019 exam and that is on 6 July. This year Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU-JAT) will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the first time ever. Before NTA the exam was conducted by Delhi University. Students willing to take admission in BMS, BBS, BBA-FIA or any undergraduate management course appear under the exam.
The competition is tough because lots of students come from different state and cities of the country to appear in the exam.
You must have gone through the syllabus to be prepared for this event of your life. But never forget to do checklist. I would not say last minute, rather I suggest a week or day before doing a checklist is the best way to be prepared.

Revision: Do the revision for 2-3 hours in a day. Don’t forget to read the newspaper for the general awareness section. Ad checking your vocabulary in your revision list.
